The small print

Privacy

No accounts, no advertising, no third-party analytics. Here is the whole of what the browser game touches.

What is not collected

  • No account, so no email address, password or profile.
  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers. Nothing on this site is sold, and nobody is paying to appear on it.
  • No third-party analytics script, no tracking pixel, no social embed that phones home.
  • No cookies for tracking. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

What the game does store

  • Your settings, on your own device. Chosen variant, deck colours, names you typed and accessibility preferences are kept in your browser’s local storage so the next game starts where you left it. It never leaves the device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
  • Online rooms, while they are open. Joining a room sends the moves you make and the display name you chose to the other people in that room, because otherwise there is no game. Room codes are short-lived and a room holds nothing once it ends.
  • Leaderboard entries, if you post one. Only when you choose to submit a score, and only the name you typed alongside it. Type anything you like — it is a scoreline, not an identity.
  • Anything you send through a form. The feedback form at the end of a game, the waiting list on the Buy page and the contact form all send what you typed — plus, for game feedback, the settings that game was played under — to one mailbox. Your address is used to reply and for nothing else. The forms are relayed by Formsubmit, which passes the message on and does not receive anything you have not typed into it.
  • Ordinary server logs. The host that serves this page records requests the way every web server does. That is outside the game’s control and is used to keep the site up, not to build a profile.

Children

The game is suitable from about eight and asks for nothing that could identify a child: no sign-up, no account, no chat with strangers. Names typed into a seat are labels on a scoreline and are visible only to the people already in that game. The only place an email address is ever requested is a form somebody has chosen to open and could close again — playing needs none.

Changes, and asking about it

If any of the above stops being true, this page changes first. It is a short page on purpose: anything added to it is something a reader deserves to notice.

Questions about any of this go to matthewelisephparker@gmail.com.
